    I think it is a WW2 set. There is a whole website devoted to it here:

    Thanks Ade. I just sold in for 120 euro. Turns out to be a version from the late 50s early 60s. The manufacturer plate was plastic and also some other parts were more recent. So i was told anyway. Seems to be a very popular collectors item though,
