Default Beautiful BU. Aero US. Navy Waltham 8 day clock, what is it out of?

Very nicely preserved 8 day clock, everything works, no signs of tampering, missing screws, etc.

Few questions about this, I assume it's out of an aircraft, but which ones?

Nicely marked on the back, with a large anchor inside US on the back, has been very well kept in a case since its removal. Collector/seller seemed to thing the lettering at the bottom of the stenciled inscription was unusual, "PER.386", in fact I don't see anything like this on any of the recently sold one on the net.

    Any idea what this signifies?

Thx much for your time in replying.

This website mentions the Lockheed Ventura:

Although I would not be surprised if they were fitted to several types.

These Waltham CDIA clocks were fairly standard in US Navy/Marine Corps aircraft that included besides the Ventura, the Avenger, PBY Catalina, Corsair, Hellcat, Helldiver, Havoc, Dauntless and the PBM Mariner. There are probably many more.
