    Is this haversack an Indian made piece of kit? Something about the way the material looks to my eyes gives me the gut feeling that this haversack is Indian made?

    I agree.Indian made.Just the way the webbing looks more coarse than British and the fit of the brass tabs especially on the flap...slightly wonky stitching as well.
