    Cannot say I have ever seen one like this before. I agree, the snaps do look Brit/Commonwealth.

    My first guess would be a naval money-belt... But it is only a guess.

    I am certain someone will turn up with the correct name and country of origin.

    Thank you guys it may be a money belt as you say but its quite thick so not sure
