These ration tins came in several different formats. I have yet to collect them all, but here are the ones I have.
First off is the more common "Boiled Sweets" tin in brown with green lettering. Dated as Packed 10/43. Maker marked 5 MB.

Next we have the less often seen version which contains Boiled sweets, salt & matches.
Maker marked and dated “W.Ltd. Packed 4/44.” Tin maker "5 MB".

Another version, harder to find. Dated July 1944. Maker marked “W. Ltd”.
Tin is the type used for the Emergency ration tin and is patent number marked 464364, together with the Registered design number 809,365

A rare version in plain tin with black text. There is also a type I have yet to buy with white text.
Note the correction to the packing date.

Late war issue green/grey tin. This example was ground dug at Arnhem but will date from the 1945 battle. A rare tin.
Hi Nick, not sadly all of these are empty. I have shown a few full tins in some of the other threads this afternoon.
