    Here's one I've been meaning to post and totally forgot about it. I've had this for over a decade and a half! seems the original owner served on the HMAS Katoomba? He must have taken some leave in London.

    That's Awesome. Looks to be in great condition!!!
    So is this from the WW2 time frame? Were these used later that that?

    Cheers Mate, Yep WW2 time frame, I think these where first made in '43 and definitely used well into the Korean conflict at least. This one has a feint 1944 stamp

    Great looking Bergan in fantastic condition.

    They were on issue for "donkey's years", before the so-called "SAS/Para" Bergan came on issue in the late 1970's/early 1980's.

    When I first joined the Territorial Army 1981, one of the sergeant-majors had one, (he was ex-parachute regiment)

    Quite possibly belonged to John Charles Gahan, an officer in the RAN during WWII, listed on the Nominal Roll, from Melbourne. Hard to prove though.
