    Default British Three-Piece Razors

    Hi Guys,

I've always been curious when British three-piece razors were introduced. Over the years, I have seen many broad arrow marked examples in Bakelite and metal, but they never date earlier than 1943. Does anyone know what was used prior to 43, was it straight-edge razors or civilian three-piece safety razors?

    Thanks!

I know that the US servicemen had specially made for them Gilette safety razors, but the British? Good question. I have seen metal handled WWII British cut throats dated 1942, if that's any help.

Likewise on the dates on these. Mine is 43 too.

I think it was cut throat razors prior to this date.

    Cheers, Ade.
