    Was the file issued with the kit a rat-tail or triangular-section?

    Triangular section would probably work better on those teeth.

    I should clarify rat tail handle, has to be a cultural thing, growing up any file with a spike handle was a rat tail

    here is a pic of Russian military version in use it is at Russian water bottles, rucksacks, sleeping bags, travel bags I believe the handles on the UK saw were to be used in a similar fassion

    Jimpy, I have 2 complete sets of these from 1952, I don't mind breaking one of the sets so that you have a complete one.

    Ian, yes phone me in the morning. Hanningfield metals should be re-open after their 2 week hols aswell
