Hi all a friend said he had this in his shed and to make an offer on it if i'm interested . I realize its a supply case or something like that but I'm unsure of it's age this is the only picture he has sent me . I'm guessing it is empty but have not asked yet . what would be a fair price to offer him for it ? I have no Idea of what such things value are . I think it would be a great back drop for my uniform collection .

Between you and me mate , Your a complete idiot for posting stuff like this on the forum , attracts all the wrong kind of attention , Is about as dumb as it gets , and you wonder why you get no replies ?
Your asking for a valuation on things labelled Bomb and Explosive , yet never even crossed your mind to ask anything about it?
Let alone post a photo straight up in full public worldwide internet view
I would just delete it if I was you mate , for your sake .

Kenworth what do you mean exactly ? I was having a joke about it being not empty . I don't appreciate you being rude and calling me stupid because I know nothing about something and I did actually ask if anyone knows anything about it . I was asking what it might be worth because I was thinking about buying it as a back drop for my uniforms which I also stated .

Well obviously it is going to be empty and as it says on it is a transit case for mortar bombs. I have no idea on date (possibly 1959?) or value but it looks pretty cool and as it has the magic words parachute on it, it could be quite valuable as such things go.

I think Kenworth's reply is a bit over the top.

    Whatever its just an opinion.

    Hi Matthew,

It's most definately NO laughing matter when it comes to explosives etc, BUT for the record, it's a complete carry frame for, in this case, six 2inch Para-Illume Mortar bombs, (which is clearly stated on the tubes in the frame)

Age wise, it could be anything from early WWII up to mid/late 1990s, there should be a date stamp on the frame somewhere.

    Regards etc
