Can anybody tell me the date on this broad arrow marked magnifying glass?

I just picked up this magnifying glass with a broad arrow and was just wondering if anyone might have a guess as to its age.

Is the handle plastic or Bakelite? Is there a company stamp or trade mark?

The broad arrow is the only marking I can find. The handle appears to be some composite material or possibly painted hardwood... I'm not certain.

Try unscrewing the handle and taking a peek inside?

I tried that, but the inside is just brass threading...
