Hi. They don't go together, but they are sort of one and the same objects.
You have a headset with radio receivers, and a cloth 'helmet' with radio
recievers attached. There should be a makers label in the helmet.

The helmet does have a label Gentex H-4

The helmet is post WWII - after 1958 - proably Vietnam era.........
