    Default Finally, an enameled canteen!

I got this yesterday! It cost me a beat up, broken Hitler Youth belt buckle. It's mostly intact, made by United States Stoneware Co., and dated 1942 (as they all are). These had a limited production run in 1942, and were an experiment to try to save on aluminum. These are hard to find but they aren't incredibly rare. It's been one of my wishlist items for a while now!

This one came with the cover and pistol belt that it spent its wartime life on. I hope you guys like it!

Nice Horizontal seam style. Next you need the Ethocel Canteen.

Thanks guys! I have to say, I think I have found my next niche. I can hardly afford to collect German anymore so I think U.S. canteens might be fun to try out.

They made blue enameled canteens? Those must be harder to find, because I have only ever seen black ones.

The cups are a quest of their own...
