- Hel: small town and peninsula in north part of Poland (the Baltic seaside)
- D'Day Hel - reenactment's event organised every year in the place mentioned above
Hel peninsula - held by German army untiil May, 11, 1945 - units defending Hel peninsula surenderred on May, 9, 1945 but they left this area in organised form as a PoW's on May 11, 1945 (over 100.000 of soldiers of Heeres, Luftwaffe, Kriegsmarine, Waffen-SS and civil refugees). It is worth mentioning, that dunes and forests on the Hel peninsula were full of wartime artefacts a few / several years ago, when Polish Army decided to leave this ground...
I have tried to post links to google images - if you see them that's ok, if not - click adequate reference ("Obrazy dla..." or "Grafika").
