is this a French Indochina war era canteen pouch?

Article about: is this canteen cover French army issue? would they have used these in Vietnam? what era is it? I put a WWII US canteen & cup inside and it seems to fit well it looks similiar to a WWII

    what era is it? I put a WWII US canteen & cup inside and it seems to fit well

    it looks similiar to a WWII US canteen pouch and has a felt wool type lining inside

    the metal hardware on the snaps is stamped RAKA what country used these pouches? possibly made for export

    I was told, it's a French Mle 51 canteen pouch

    but I just checked mine and the flaps look shorter than the type in this photo
