French MAS-36 Leather Ammunition Pouch
Article about: An unusual MAS-36 leather ammunition pouch; I have not seen anything that compares. Shown here with a WWII dated belt. Belt attachments are riveted and not sewn in as is commonly seen on the

Probably made in France.

They exist in left and right pouches.

I had considered this but had never seen an example with the riveted belt attachments before. These as a whole are certainly an under-documented item of militaria.

Many thanks. I had a hunch it was made in a French colony but I would not have guessed the former French Mandate of Lebanon. Cheers

They say a big stock was found in this country. The French Army not used such pouchs, but others with sewings. Easy to find here.
