Remember that you don't necessarily need the suspenders to have a historically accurate setup. The belt, canteen, first aid pouch, shovel, and bayonet are the essentials. You could actually even do without a shovel.

Now you need a nice M41 jacket, wool shirt, and wool pants.

    Great looking bandolier!

The M1910 shovel would make a great addition but it's gonna set you back a minimum of $60 on up to $100 for a decent example with holder. I think it makes the package though, much nicer than the period fold up shovel and were prefered by many during WWII.

I'm heading down the same basic path as a Christmas package for my son. I've picked up a decent named/service # M-1 Shell, he's got the web belt, period canteen and first aid kit, now I've got to work on the shirt, pants boots etc., a good bandolier, like the one you just picked up as well....

    Keep up the good work!

Wool shirts you can find for maybe 15-25 dollars on average. M41's vary and they're kind of hard to come by. I purchased an original a few weeks ago for $45 but that was a steal.
