Indian Army Enamelled Plate

Article about: I have just bought this plate. It was described as the seller as being a WW2 Indian Army enamelled plate. I was wondering if anyone could confirm this? Its dated 1944 and looks right to me,

Nice, bit more expensive than the £1 I paid for mine...

The ration bag arrived today. Strangely the markings are printed faintly on mirror image- it's not marked on the other side and showing through... Looks completely unissued.

The old Bengal Enamel Works factory isn't looking so hot these days...

Thanks Karkee, I came across this picture as well whilst writing my blog post on the plate. It's looking very sad now.

I just picked up this mug, I think it was made in the same run as your plate...

And I think this Picture came from another plate (I don't know why they used Roman Numerals for the month)
