kit bags and M 37?

Does any one know when these bags were used?
I fond them in a house clearing in Belgium and two kit bags are marked probably by the owner with dates (1950 ties) and places (in belgium). But i have never seen those kind of kit bag's in the military before....

I've seen similar kit bags of varying sizes made from similar cloth, most of them have been ww2 lend lease items from the us made from ww1 canvas (such as RAF bed rolls made from cavalry blankets), but they could be from another source.
The 37 pattern haversack looks to be Indian or Southe African in manufacture (going by the narrow closure straps with standard size tips).
