    Default Large British Mapcase + Maps

    I'm looking for some information on this mapcase, it's large, 17"X13". It looks like it was designed to hang from a vehicle perhaps?
    It contains maps from the Carlisle area, and interestingly what look like survey notes and drawings of aircraft dispersal areas and possible airfield?

    I've had a quick look on the interwebs, and whatever this guy was doing regarding the airfield, either assessing an existing one, or surveying for a new one, there certainly was one in that area called Hutton in the Forest.
