    I think it's just a usual foot locker for a soldier to put personal possessions , it has the broadarrow

    C Eastgate & sons ltd..... mainly made railway lanterns in ww2..... as far as I can tell.

    I would guess stationary (office paperwork), since it looks like is says 'stationary' and 'OFF STAT' (officers stationary?)
