Mint Korean war un-issued M1944 Goggles.

I always thought only wartime M1944 Goggles carried the elastic strap through the lense and post war versions were fitted through the rubber body itself and were lined with foam instead of rubber,however picked this minty set up thinking ww2 and on closer inspection they are stamped 1951,indentical to there ww2 counterparts except the maker,instead of Polaroid these were done by the American opitical co.

Bought a WWII piece with a 1950s date...the story of my life. lol

So much early Korean War US equipment was similar to wartime stuff, it makes it hard to differentiate unless you have a lot of experience. It truly is the bane of US WWII collectors.

Incredible condition of a neat item in my opinion though!
