Hi All. I have been trying to reesearch this for some time but have not got anywhere. This came from a house clearence with a load of other ww2 British gear and home guard items. It is double ended. In one end is a brush and pull through and the other is I guess the oil bottle part. It is made of thin steel and is about double the length of the standard Lee Enfield oil bottle. Any help would be much appreciated. Cheers.

I do believe that's the oil bottle/ cleaning kit for U.S. M1903 rifle. It should fit right down the trap door in the butt stock of the rifle.

Well, mystery solved. It never occured to me to be American. I guess that must be something to do with the Home Guard connection as they used alot of American kit. Cheers guys.
