need help with a Nationalist Chinese dagger

I have this Chinese dagger modified as a gift perhaps to a serviceman because of the flags and eagle , or just a crappy piece..thanks for all the help

The flag is a chinese flag from what i know. Maybe in some relation with a CBI vet bringback? Just my opinion

Possibly flying tigers. I have seen some Chinese aviation daggers like this one before

a nice period piece. I would move it to a more appropriate forum where you would have more of a chance getting an answer. The problem is we do not have one. I may opt to move it to the Allied Forces Forum and add "Nationalist Chinese" to your thread description. It deserves an answer and I am afraid it will languish here unseen.
