pack patt 14 converted to 08 or 37?

Hi, I wondered what people's thoughts are on this pack and it's ilk?

Kharkee web describe them as "patt 08/14 converted" (i.e. 14 converted to 08) but admit they can find no paperwork about them..... i think it might be more a case of 14/37 converted?

The pack was clearly once 14patt, you can see where the lower buckles have been removed and the stitching is a different colour where the top buckles have been changed.
it has then been reissued with the 1940 dated (+ matching serial no and name) 37 pattern shoulder straps and then blancoed.
while there is no difference between O8 & 37 packs, this example would argue it is a ww2 conversion rather than a ww1 one?
also I would like to argue for a 4th issue 14patt pack as these converted packs do not have the rivet through the shoulder strap tongue that the 3rd issue have?

Unfortunately none of the inside markings are readable and I'm thrown by the two triangular marks on the lid.

What do people reckon? Am I being too pedantic, flogging a dead horse, and or chasing my tail?
