Default Post your British Made Fieldgear!

    Hi guys!

These arrived in the mail today. I have always had a bit of a British made gear fetish, so please post yours here so we can get a nice thread going.

The canteen cover is marked to HQ Co., 168th Infantry. This unit was part of the 34th "Red Bull" Infantry Division. No, they did not enter every engagement after consuming energy drinks en masse, but they did see some very nasty combat in North Africa and Italy.

The musette bag is also marked, to a Sgt. Berry, but I can't make out the unit marking underneath.

    So let's see yours!

    Nice to see these Mo.

Back in the 80's I had quite a bit of this stuff. Long gone now.

Oddly British collectors "turned their noses up" at Brit made gear back then. They only wanted pure US made kit. Now I think people are more educated and can appreciate it.

    Cheers, Ade.

That's what I've heard about British made stuff. Nobody wanted it back in the 80's, and it was considered to be of inferior quality. I have always loved British made gear so I'm attempting to get a complete set together. Hopefully my first purchase of 2015 will be a haversack.

Very nice! Is that an enameled canteen or just a regular one painted black?
