    Heres something you dont see every day!This is a sheet metal Air raid shelter heater with a large oil burner that fits inside.I cant imagine many of these survived and it must have gone in the larger public shelters?Cant see it in Anderson myself?!!If anyone has any more info that would be great as i think these must be rather rare.

    And this is the burner.I should add that the whole thing stands about 2ft tall with a base about 12in across..

    Thanks for that link..Far too complicated for me!Im happy it ww2 period.
    Think i might fire it up sometime and see how warm it gets...Reminds me of the old 'Aladdin' paraffin heaters in my Nans house years ago.
