RAF Lighter??

Article about: Picked this up today. Took a chance. Has anyone seen one of these? Not sure if WW2 or earlier. Is the crown a clue? Not being British, I can't tell What ever was written on the top has long

    Just found this, it says RAF civilian workers badge 49: RAF trade and misch badges @ Militarybadgecollection.com but doesn't give the size.

    Last two photos in the 4th row.

    Can't find a specific date for the badge, but it could be this

    I don't think that is writing on the lid.... I think its a striker, i.e. it was a Vesta case before conversion.
    Neat, anyway!

    Thanks for the info!! Interesting about the marks on the lid being a striker. Seems possible as the marks do not resemble any type of letters!
