I think almost all of them are Mk.III Type anti dust goggles. Never been used 1943 dated.

I have one put on my WWII German Arty Officer's Visor.

I will take some photos when I return to Japan around end of January.

    Cheers!

I myself like goggles as well.

I have around 80+ CDN "Rommel Goggles" with brown paper packages.

That is the most numbered single object I have in my collection.

I don't get tired of them at all.

    Cheers!

    Most excellent!

Look forward to pics of a few of them

If possible, a short review of the glasses (material, usefulness, your impression) would be valued.

    Sounds good.

Am I correct in assuming, that the goggles Rommel wore as protection against desert sand, were Allied made 'Eyeshield, Anti-gas, MKII?'

    I assume from captured stocks.

EDITED: Deleted 'US' and wrote 'Allied' instead. AFAIK both the US and British forces made/used similar goggles.
It would make more sense for Rommel to wear goggles from captured Brit stocks at the time in question.

    I would assume a British/CDN dust goggles from captured equipment. I don't think is a U.S. one.

The lacquered "visor" of the goggles is in green color. With two black shoe laces, two snap buttons.

    Taka
