Thanks for that Rene my Mk III pouches are 9''x 4 x 2'' 5\8 the jungle pouches are considerably larger

Thanks for chiming in on the run Dave some good examples being shown here the haversack's that you are looking for do they have to be P-37 from the land of OZ or will any war time manufactured kit do from the commonwealth.

    Regards Mark K
    Hi Mark,
Any tan/ kahki make will do me at present. As Rene stated Canadian made p 37 was issued in large quanties in war time Australia so an early one or two of these would be great.
Australian made examples are hard to find and overly expensive.
    Must run
    All the best
    Dave

Great pouches guys!! Keep them coming....

As Rene and Dave have already shown the Australian made pouches came in two sizes either large or small. The large ones are rather hard to find these days as they were only made in small numbers and were issued for a long time, from WW2 right though until the 1970's so not a great deal of them survived.

I will add to the thread by posting a late war economy variation of these Large pouches from my collection. These are the rarest of all the WW2 Australian made pouches, they are the same as the Large Basic pouches previously shown but they are made from canvas. I only know of 2 other sets in collections although I'm sure there may be a few more out there.

    Cheers Luke.

Hi Mark unfortunately the stamps are too faded to make out the maker now as they have had too much use, but It looks like Holden and I would estimate around 1944-45 all I can see clearly is the inspectors stamp.

    Cheers Luke.
