    Thanks Ade. The bottle color and cover are new to me, I've only seen the green and sewn covers before. I didn't even know the bottle was from New Zealand until I got it. I only paid $15.00 for the bottle and carrier so I figured the bottle a plus, now it's more so.

    OK, the guys on the other forum answered, and this is what they said. "It's ww2 They are the standard Mk7 bottle but made with square shoulders. I think it was easier to produce this type of 'tin can' top as oposed to the rounded type. "
