Tag ID help
Hello Chaps.
I live in Hong Kong and I was having a look over one of the Battle sites where the Royal Rifles of Canada (RRC) where fighting and found this unusual little tag.
It looks simliar to an "ID Tag" in size, shape and is made from brass, but only has a couple of letters stamped:

It has a tiny little safety-pin attached, which gets me thinking something like an equipment tag? maybe for pinning on a Bren Gun carrying bag or ammo bandolier?
Does anyone have any ideas?

PS: I have looked into the possibility of it meaning Company/Section/platoon numbers ect, but nothing.
