Telescope flash spotting MKII -post war???

Wondered if anyone could help with the dating of this recent spotting scope pick up, cant seem to find any reference to it online and wondered if its post war.

Im no expert, i just had a bit of a google and reckon its early or pre ww2;

It apears there were binoculars for this flash spotting during ww2 (although scopes may have been in servce as well) Target Acquisition & Counter Bombardment

Also nearly all kit was labeled with a catalogue number from 1944.

It is a bit of an odd one for me, cant seem to find anything about it anywhere. I agree that it may be pre war, but i can only seem to find "binocular" versions.
