    Hello chaps,
I have aquired some bits (all WWII) and with them was a brass gun stock (no markings) which appears detachable but I wondered if anyone knew what type of gun it would have been for?
I cannot find any resources on the internet and am completely baffled.

For what its worth, my guess is it could belong to a harpoon gun. Harpoon guns often have brass hollow stocks, and I think the fixings on this one suggest it belongs to something very heavy duty. Just my thoughts. Doug

Wow, thanks Doug, that looks the best bet.
How bizarre..... It wouldn't have even occurred to me.
