    Hello chaps,
I have aquired some bits (all WWII) and with them was a brass gun stock (no markings) which appears detachable but I wondered if anyone knew what type of gun it would have been for?
I cannot find any resources on the internet and am completely baffled.

For what its worth, my guess is it could belong to a harpoon gun. Harpoon guns often have brass hollow stocks, and I think the fixings on this one suggest it belongs to something very heavy duty. Just my thoughts. Doug

This thread is of course a bit outdated, but still here is my contribution.

A skeleton revolverstock of some sort. The Colt stock seems to be it's next of kin.
