Two 37pattern-esque bags........thoughts?

Evening all,
Picked up these two 37esque bags this morning, don't know what they are though.....
1) pictures 1 and 6: satchel (15,1/2in x 11in x 3,1/2in); no markings, something missing from the 2inch shoulder strap, double cloth reinforcement in the base, beaded seams (thought it might be Canadian at first).

2) pack, 6,1/2in x 14 or 7in x 12in; "WA6880", grommeted base, two holes in side covered by poppered flap, ........
Clearly it is 2 packs sewn together, but I've got everything I need to turn it back to one in original form (including the backpad missing from the base)....... So I'd like to know what it was, and check that this isn't a military modification?

Could be radio or radio battery related , I believe they used a divided bag to keep them separated .

I'm sure someone here should know .

I am not sure of either bag ,did they come from a certain Dig Out ?
