Hi guys,
I was in an antique shop last weekend and saw this glistening on a shelf in the corner, right next to the unicorn turds and honest politicians.
This is a super rare enameled cup, dated 1942 and made by L. F. & C. Co. Enameled canteens and cups were produced during a short period of time in 1942 in an attempt to conserve aluminum. They proved to be terrible pieces of combat equipment, most because they would chip and bits of enamel would get in the water, so they discontinued them. The canteen can be found with relative ease. The cups are a whole different story. In fact this is the first one I've seen in person!
I hope you guys like it,
Mo
