US Air Force Mittens

I just bought these two today for $5, I believe they are post war but really for what I payed I don’t mind at all.

Nice set of mittens and liners.. I will have to check in my flight gear reference books, but these may be as you said post war,, maybe 1950s..

Gunners gloves would have had trigger fingers but other crew members may have worn something like these..

AZPHIL would probably know more about these.. I will look in my clothing catalogs to see if I can find anything..

Definitely post war with US Air Force on them, plus it looks like the gloves are faded blue. The air corp during ww2 would've worn OD inserts. Great deal still, the leather looks like it's in fantastic condition

gel65 is correct. The AAF became the USAF in September of 1947 and switched from OD to Blue in 1952.
Is the leather marked on the inside cuff?

Sorry about the late response, The inside of the leather is not marked but the inside of the wool it has a patch sewn on, It says the basic information about washing and the sizing. Unfortunately nothing about the date or manufacturing company.
