US Air Force survival kit in 1942?

Could anyone tell what was a survival kit like in the US Air Force in 1942? (For the crew of a B24 in the Pacific region?) I'd appreciate any links or photos. Thanks a lot!

Well 1942 was pretty early in the war for most of the survival kits. The only one I can think of off hand would be the jungle backpad survival kit that was worn between the back parachute and the crew member. This is the kit that had the collins machete in it. Most of the other kits came out later. Can't help you with a link right now though.
