US ammo pouches

Two days ago I added these to my collection of ammo pouches, 1 pair of 1942 made Colt .45 ammo pouches and 1 pair of 1945 made M1 carbine ammo pouches . I think that's a good deal for 15 euros both

They look good to me. The .45 pistol mag pouch AND the M1 Carbine pouches were made to be worn on a belt. The pistol mag pouch has a button that mates to a web belt. The Carbine pouch WILL NOT fit on the stock of an M1 Carbine.

I am sure paratroopers did use them, but they were not exclusive to paratroopers.

I have two of the M1 carbine pouches like the one you posted, and two with full backing/ snap that is capable of sliding over the butt stock of the carbine.

M1 Carbine pouches were general issue for all branches of the army.

No problemo! Since you're in Greece, I wouldn't be surprised if your pouches came into the country w the surplus firearms that the USA armed your country with during the Cold War. Greek marked HXP marked 30.06 is some of the best ammo for M1 Garands!
