Hi there, can you show some more pictures of buckle clip at both ends and the pouches at the left? I think this is a WW2 US belt but mine is in NZ along with my copies of Henry Paul Enjames GI Collector's Guide: Army Service Forces Catalog, U.S. Army European Theater of Operations volumes 1 and 2...it is in one of those volumes but cant recall which..if it is the same belt the pouches on the left are theatre added and the buckle clips should be the similiar design as a standard M1 helmet chinstrap clip...
The Clip that is pictured in the last picture are Vietnam War Era so belt is probably of later manufacture.
any idea what branch used the belt?
Yes the alice clip is and the buckle clip isnt the same as the WW2 version...not sure bout this sorry
I believe this is a commercial cartridge belt, with those shotgun shell loops. It appears
to be made of nylon. ( There is a company called 'World Famous' that makes all
sorts of hunting and camping equipment and has been in business for at least
35 years. They also produce copies of military gear. I remember a belt
with attached pouches like this one. )
As said, the clips are Vietnam era or later. The only military pieces
are the bandage pouch, and the alice clips, IMO..........
