A. M. Bolander was most likely in the Navy. If you have an Ancestry.com account you can probably find his info.
Sorry forgot to add the longer set is known as the M38 dismounted type,the shorter ones are the M17 type which originated from ww1,which i prefer,they went back to these late in ww2 when the newer Combat Boot arrived..................
