No Whakkas Buddy
Hey shouldn't you be working right now
Here's the manual I scanned before I past it off
Very nice mate, do these filters contain asbestos?
as a precaution treat all pre 90's gas masks that they will have asbestos
Very nice mask I imagine these are quite uncommon in Australia?
Regarding the asbestos, I'm not too sure if these filters contain it or not as I've not done any tests on Second World War US Gas Mask filters, however I would say that it is a high possibility that they do. The golden rule with gas mask filters is that if its expired, and/or you don't know the filters history it should be considered unsuitable to breath through.
I just bought this same gas mask at a estate sale today. I never thought about the asbestos aspect. Thank you for the information about the asbestos.
