US Pistol belt rig: Any info?

I know this is a holster, belt etc., but can anyone be more specific. Era, branch of service, what the pouches are for? Thanks in advance.

WWII-era pistol belt with a nice .45 holster and two early to mid-war first aid pouches. Nice find!

The pistol belt is part of the M1956 web gear.WW2 period belts were only adjustable from one end had a snap near the buckle for the pistol magazine pouch to attach to.Not ww2.The two pouches and holster are ww2 though.
