US WW2 beltbuckle

Article about: My uncle Ronald K. Poley was a medic PFC in Italy 11-44 to 11-45 with the 34th Div 168th inf. This is the belt buckle he brought home. Is this issue with the engraving or theater made? Thank

    This was done theater made and would have taken some man hours to complete something of this quality

    Thanks for the replies. I'm very pleased to have a few of my uncles things from WW2. The buckle would have been in better shape if I hadn't of worn it all the time as a kid in the 60s. Thanks again.

    It looks to have been done with an 'electric pencil' engraver.
