    Default USAAF compass

I just got this USAAF Type D-12 compass. It was built by the Bendix Corporation and is dated 1942. It's a little worse for wear but it works just fine. The liquid is still in the bowl. I am given to understand these were used on large aircraft like the B-17 and B-24 but I have not been able to find any photos of the installation which, I think, was in the navigator's station. Would any of you guys have a photo showing the installation?
    Thanks in advance!

    Hi John,

Here's one in situ on the navigators plotting table of a still flying B-17 in the States. Sorry the pic's are so small.

    Regards, Ned.
