Default WW1 British leather trench club

I've had a couple of these in the past and this has been by far the best example I've owned. Obtained off a person who purchased a trunk full of personal effects of a man named Ian Alexander Lauder, of the Highland light infantry. This will be an item that I will be parting with soon, as it no longer fits in my collection.

How long is this item? Is it military marked and dated or is it just an over-sized blackjack?

No, this isn't military marked or dated, although I've came across the hob nailed versions with armoury marks on. I had another pig skin leather version with a bulb top, taken from a house clearance of a WW1 veteran. It is pretty long and on this and previous ones I've owned I applied neutral shoe polish to feed and preserve the leather

Interesting! Will you be listing it here in the Classifieds?
