nice find
I like cigarette cases. That is a neat one.
Yes that's very nice.
Do you know if they were sold as souvenirs to the troops or if a batch was commissioned and presented to the men as a pressie? I have two BWM's to men in the BWIR, pity they didn't come with a cigarette case like that.
Tony
Sorry dont know if they were sold or pressie cant find alot of info on them
Hi are you looking to sell it?
I would not have thought a private firm would have permission to use the Kings crown like that? (For private sales).
Oz.
Perhaps their was a small licensing fee, though I have not heard of it, but souvenir crested items are very common, apart form ciggie cases, you get swagger sticks, sweetheart jewelry, compacts, matchboxes etc...and trenchart. Such items range from factory mass produced items to bazaar made and one off home or barrack made.
Whilst I would agree that none of the items I have shown have the royal crown on them, that is merely because the units to which I collect do not feature the crown, but there are plenty of similar items out there to units that do feature the crown.

Jerry
Whatever its just an opinion.
