Article about: Hi mates.I just found this nice soap dish dated 1945.I think that it's alright 'cause these doesn't get faked.Do we know if it is a ww2 era or a post war example?Many Thanks

    Nice dish. As you stated it is stamped 1945 however I am not sure if it is possible to pin down if it was manufactured prior or after May 1945.

    my father came home with one like that ,at the end of the war.toyoung to lookat dates.

    Nice soap box.Nothing to worry about here.I've never seen one dated earlier that '45..Tommy must of kept his soap in something?!
    I think these were issued when all the web gear and equipment was updated for example the Pattern 1944 webbing and all the other JG stuff.
