    Any thoughts please on what this U.S bag was made/used for. It is about 10" x 22". Made by the VICTORY CANVAS CO 1944. Someone has written in it over the years but overall very good condition . Thought it might be in the G.I book but no luck ....

    it looks like a bazooka rocket bag for carrying 2 bazooka rockets

    Yes thats it a rocket bag. I believe the same bag or a similar one was also used for carrying 60 mm mortar ammo. Very nice it is in excelent condition.

    cheers mate , had it many years (20 or so )all our webbing including ww1 is in this condition or better...

    Notice in my 2nd pic there are 2 versions a single & a double lift 'o' dot snap

    we collected it , when not many people wanted it ... i remember my dad struggled to get 10 for t handle spades years ago !!!! glad he saved a few ...
