    Tessin, says:

    Flieger-Ausbildungs-Regiment 71

    * 1.4.1939, FStO Sorau, 1941 in Schweidnitz; 1942 mobil als Fliegerregiment 71 und mit I.-III. Bataillon
nach Südfrankreich (Bordeaux, Montelimar, Lyon) verlegt; August 1944 nach dem Rückzug aus dem
    Rhonetal aufgelöst.

Not sure why people keep adding to this thread rather than starting new ones; the whole section is about Erkennungsmarken and their identification, evaluation, etc.- not just this one thread So I'm closing it to avoid even more additions- if you had thought to post here, just go ahead and start a brand new thread of your own and you'll get more looks and probably the information you're looking for
